Solynta registers first Diploid Hybrid Potato Variety to Dutch Potato Variety list
Solynta today announced the official registration of its diploid hybrid true potato variety SOLHY019 on the Dutch National Variety Register, following formal approval and publication by the Dutch Board of Plant Varieties. This milestone marks the first-ever registration of a hybrid diploid hybrid potato variety grown from hybrid true potato seed (HTPS) in the Netherlands, reinforcing Solynta’s position as the global pioneer and leading breeder of hybrid potato varieties.
Solynta and EW GROUP reach major funding agreement to boost Hybrid True Potato Seed commercialization
Solynta, frontrunner in hybrid potato breeding, today announced a major growth funding raise, including the acquisition by EW Group of a majority stake in the company. This funding capital will accelerate Solynta’s mission: to double the global potato yield, with half the use of crop protection and with less land use, reshaping the future of the world’s third-largest food crop.
