Our mission is to realize a sustainable change in world food supply with our innovative hybrid potatoes grown from true potato seeds. To expand our Commercial team and to help drive our business, we are looking for a:

Sales Representative (fulltime)

The primary focus of this position is to find, develop and scale sales opportunities on an international level. This will involve establishing and maintaining connections with strong partners, creating and executing sales plans and strategies, and enabling both short- and long-term success via scalable opportunities. This will require significant time spent in target markets to ensure market expertise and close client relations, as well as working closely alongside our global commercial team to ensure learnings and successes are maximized across the organization.

This position reports to one of Solynta’s Sales and Business Development Managers and is a key member of our global commercial team. We seek a creative, team-oriented, and proactive individual with relevant sales experience.

Key activities / responsibilities

  • With a customer-driven and creative mentality - establish true partnerships, identify (new) sales opportunities, generate demand and drive sales to help grow our business
  • Become an active member of our global commercial team to ensure what we learn across one region can be applied in another
  • Ensure we reach our global sales target


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a commercial direction
  • Several years of demonstrated experience and success in international agricultural sales
  • Eagerness to build and maintain (new) client relations
  • Proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication: good soft skills to develop and maintain customer relations in different cultural environments
  • Able to understand and clarify customer needs
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Native/ bilingual proficiency in English (both written and spoken);
  • Able to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-moving environment where every day brings new challenges
