Depending on your experience, interests and strengths, the role can be focused on one of two key areas within our Field Service organization. We are looking for the best candidate and will shape the position accordingly. The position may be focused on one of these areas or a combination of both. Both profiles play a key role in ensuring high-quality trial execution, data quality and continuous improvement within the Field Service organization.

Profile 1: Trial Coordinator

 

  • Creating Trial Plans in consultation with internal client and Field Services
  • Organizing starting material for trial plan
  • Setting up trials in Phenome (field maps, variables)
  • Coordinating trial labelling and identification
  • Structuring and aligning trial information for field team (e.g. phenotyping overview, dormancy requirements, sowing list, etc.)
  • Processing and follow up data collection, quality and uploading to breeding software during season
  • Developing and ensuring data collection with coordinator and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring trial progress through field visits with trial owners and/or Supervisors
  • Organize evaluations with trial owners and follow up
  • Identifying and documenting trial requirements for future seasons

Profile 2: Process Coördinator

 

  • Facilitating and supporting execution for critical processes (planting, harvesting, sorting, storage)
  • Evaluate, analyze and propose process improvements for current and new processes
  • Standardizing operational processes through the development of SOPs and Best Practices
  • Translating field designs into field maps and relevant documents in consult with Trial Coordinator and Supervisors
  • Managing data and configurations for field data collection equipment (e.g. sensors)
  • Coordinating the Phenotyping Allignment group
  • Support Field Service teams in achieving high-quality trial execution

 

Shared responsibilities:

  • Leading or contributing to projects relevant to Field Service Team
  • Providing support and backup to other coordinators if required
  • Support the implementation of complex or new processes
  • Collaborate closely with Supervisors, Trial Owners and other internal stakeholders

 

Experience, competencies and mindset we are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) or higher
  • Residing in the Netherlands
  • Minimum 3-5 relevant working experience in an agricultural environment
  • Experience with
  • Dutch and English on a professional level
  • Proficient to collaborate and communicate across teams
  • Driving license and willing to travel to fields or facilities
  • Willing to travel abroad
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scale-up environment where processes are still being built
  • Experience in field design
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently when needed

  • A competitive salary between €.3.400 and € 4.400 gross per month based on 40 hours
  • 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment)

  • A one-year contract, with the intention of converting it into a permanent contract
