Area Sales Manager - MENA & APAC
(fulltime)
As an Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of sales and business development within your region, ensuring the successful establishment and scaling of our innovative hybrid potato technology. Your role will involve identifying and developing strong partnerships, driving market penetration, and executing sales and go to market strategies tailored to these regions. This position requires significant time spent in target markets to ensure market expertise and close customer relations, as well as working together in our global sales and product management team.
This position reports to the Sales Lead and is a critical role within our global commercial team. We are seeking a proactive, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented professional with proven experience in international agricultural sales.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Identify, build and maintain partnerships within your region, identifying opportunities to develop and scale sales while generating demand.
- Create and execute regional sales strategies, contributing to the achievement of global commercial targets.
- Act as the regional market expert, providing insights into customer needs and market trends to guide Solynta’s strategy.
- Collaborate with the global commercial team to share learnings and apply successful practices across regions.
- Represent Solynta’s innovative solutions at regional events, meetings, and other key customer interactions.
Requirements:
- > 5 years sales experience in international agricultural industries such as seeds, crop protection and/or related sectors, preferably within the MENA and/or APAC region.
- Homebased in the Netherlands.
- Eagerness to build and maintain (new) client relations and a proactive and mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans with measurable results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to navigate diverse cultural environments and build long-term customer relationships.
- Able to understand and clarify customer needs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance multiple projects effectively.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages relevant to the assigned region are an asset.
- Able to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-moving environment where every day brings new challenges.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory and internationally as needed.
